Welcome! The Asia Institute is happy to welcome you to a series of lessons on Chinese language and culture. This Xplore Virtual Program features four sessions in each of four areas – language, student engagement, historical sites and culture & community – for a total of 16 sessions. Sessions are designed to complement your classroom language learning, engaging you in the sights and customs of China, with the opportunity to interact with a Chinese student on a series of discussion topics
The Chinse students in this partnership attend Xi’an Jioatong Liverpool University in Suzhou, China, located along the southeastern edge of the Jiangsu Province in eastern China. Suzhou is known for its imperial gardens, and is the second largest city in the province of Jiangsu, after its capital, Nanjing.
Please note that sessions on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays begin at 7:30pm Central Standard Time. On Thursdays, the conversation sessions with Chinese students begin at 8:00PM Central Standard Time.
