Community Colleges for International Development Scholarship
Scholarship Overview
In an effort to support the global competencies and knowledge of community college students, Community Colleges for International Development and The Asia Institute are offering scholarships supporting global education experiences for enrolled degree-seeking students. $2000 in total scholarships will be awarded at the 2027 CCID Annual Conference.
Eligibility and Participation
- Student submissions will be accepted from any student who is currently attending a community college that is a member of the Community Colleges for International Development (CCID). Proof of enrollment at the time the submission period opens or at the time the global learning experience in Asia concludes may be requested. Student submissions will be accepted from any student who is seeking to participate in a global learning experience in Asia. A global learning experience is defined as a short-term faculty-led program (2-8 weeks in length), a semester long study abroad program, a full year study abroad program, or an internship (6 weeks minimum).
- The global learning experience must have a start date between January 1, 2027 and December 31, 2027.
- All student applications require the submission of a recommendation form by a faculty or advisor. The recommender can be a professor, study abroad officer, or academic advisor with whom the student has a working relationship.

Application Portal
The submission deadline for the Community Colleges for International Development Scholarship is February 6, 2027. Please ensure both the student application form and the faculty/advisor recommendation form are submitted by this date.
