Want to create a customized short-term program?

Our team is here to understand your vision, and to develop a faculty-led program that aligns with your institutional and academic goals. Speak with one of our Partnership Development members today, and begin your journey.

Help us get to know you

We would enjoy understanding your interests and learning about the core objectives of your faculty-led experience. We can also share our insights on how to get the most out of the program.

Every faculty-led program is customized, therefore we start by understanding specific details that make your program unique. This could be learning outcomes, differentiated experiences or logistical requirements. The more we know, the better we can make your experience!  Start your proposal request here.

Review your proposal

After we provide our proposal, you will be in touch with a dedicated and friendly Program Manager to collaborate and adjust your program as required.

Accept your proposal

Once everything looks right with your program, we will provide a contract to be signed. In some cases, vendor setup is also required, and we will provide the necessary documentation. The Asia Institute is does not require a deposit at this stage.

Promote your program

To ensure your program is a success, you will need to promote your program to interested students. The Asia Institute can support your promotional efforts, if requested. Please ask your Program Manager for more details.

Final Confirmation | Two months before departure

Participant numbers, flight details and final payment are due 45-60 days prior to your departure date. Please remember that for destinations where visas are required, students must have a valid passport, as visa applications and processing will be included during this time.

Pre-departure Check-ins | One month before departure

Your dedicated Program Manager will arrange a call to talk through:

  • Your program itinerary to clarify details, expectations and answer any questions
  • Program resources – pre-departure orientation information, debrief session preparation, student and faculty questionnaires

Final Itinerary | Two weeks before departure

You will receive your final detailed itinerary including daily schedules, health and safety information, accommodations and logistics, and what to prepare for you and your students.

Arrival & In-Country Support

You will be welcomed and supported by your dedicated Program Coordinator for the duration of your program. Please note The Asia Institute also provides City Manager and Program Manager support during on-the-ground programming, especially in case of an emergency. A copy of The Asia Institute’s Crisis Management plan is available upon request.

At the end of your program, we will collect faculty and student feedback. Your Program Manager will share this feedback with you and arrange a debrief call to assess how all aspects of the program operations met the satisfaction and academic goals for faculty and students alike.
